hello my son Kyle was born the same way he was born on Sept 9 2000. we have goner through multiple surgery and looking towards alot more what kind has your lil guy gone through
Nicholas has had ankle reconstruction, 2 lengthenings and an 8 plate put in. How is Kyle doing?
Hi Jen, was surfing up on FH and stumbled upon your blog. I was born with FH 27 years ago, and back in the 80s, lengthening wasn’t an option for my parents here in Singapore. My parents chose to amputate my foot and I’ve used a prosthetic leg for my mobility eversince.
I wrote my story here: http://raihanandsofia.wordpress.com/2011/05/16/there-is-perfection-in-imperfection/ and I have pictures of the young me here: http://raihanandsofia.wordpress.com/2011/05/18/thank-you
What I’d like to say is that I applaud you, just as I applaud my parents, for being the pillar of strength for your son. My parents raised me without differentiating me from any other kid, and so I grew up as normal as can be.
I’m sure Nick is going to grow up brilliantly with your endless encouragement and love. FH is certainly no restraint to a normal life, as what I have discovered for myself.
I am Thailand.
Help me. I would like to consult you.
My daughter is fibular hemimelia.
I want to talk to you. You can talk to me.
